For many Christmas tree lovers, prelit Christmas trees are an off-the-rack solution. But absolutely taking the cake this year is one that is lit with LED lights. They provide so many advantages over traditional trees they are almost too many to list here. Many people are going for artificial trees since they are allergic or have space shortage. These kinds of trees are well suited to those who are unable to reach for stringing lights. Some people buy them for having perfection in the lighting design in the tree. Here are some outstanding features of these trees:

  1. A Christmas is most definitely “the” central stage among all Christmas decorations. Prelit Christmas trees save you the trouble of stringing lights, or making decorations.
  2. Such Christmas trees are already wired when sold and they are strung with twinkling lights. The way such lights are set, you cannot remove them. The lightings in these trees come embedded with the synthetic branches. All you do is assemble the pieces after you buy it. Then just plug it and you are set.
  3. Prelit Christmas treestypically come with traditional type of bulb lightings or fiber-optic lightings. Some trees are larger and generally contain customary strands with bulb lighting. On the other hand, smaller table-top versions come with fiber-optic artificial branches. Now you can get these trees with state of the art LED Lighting.
  4. They are sometimes decorated with multiple colors. Some of them come with all white lighting. There are sometimes options that allow you to make those lights blinking or changing colors while they’re plugged in.
  5. Prelit Christmas trees are made in a wide variety of sizes or shapes. There’re smaller versions that are suitable for being placed on your table top, while the larger ones are usually designed as wedge, fitting neatly into the corner a room.
  6. There are many reasons people buy prelit Christmas trees. But the most prominent one is that, you do not have to buy additional strands of lightings. Also there’s no question of being troubled with setting the lightings evenly in lighting the tree.
  7.  If you must get a traditional Christmas tree with the old style lights, you must keep safety in mind. Inappropriate usage might lead to injuries or fire. Here are some tips to save children from getting injured by Christmas trees.
  • Consider putting safety gates around larger trees to keep toddlers away.
  • Keep the tree right before the electrical outlet which it is connected to. This will conceal it from kids.
  • Don’t use smaller ornaments with pointed edges since they might accidentally fall onto the kids.
  • Get rid of glass made or other fragile ornaments. If you must use them, make sure you are using shatterproof plastic with them. You can also replace them with wooden and/or fabric made ornaments. Consider using ribbon loops rather than sharp wired hooks for hanging your ornaments.
  • And finally, consider hiring an electrician for setting the whole thing. Since everyone will be busy with the celebration, the toddlers might pull this or push that. But an electrician can make necessary recommendations for making the set up danger proof.
